These classes offer you the most 1 on 1 time with a Coach while maintaining a fun energy and healthy pace. We can address any specific needs you or the group need.
Private lesson with Coach provides you the opportunity to address any specific or general needs. These lessons can also include the ball machine to practice shots while receiving the coaching. You'll receive upwards of 500 balls an hour while you create or reinforce your swing mechanics. Please note: ball machine use has an additional cost of $10 per hour usage and the coaching staff needs to be made aware of your intent to use ball machine.
You and one other player will spend 2 hours on the court while working with two Coaches. This format allows us 1 on 1 coaching the entire 2 hours while playing regular doubles. Class is fun, fast paced and informational. We typically get through 7 full games during this session. This is our Most popular class.
Bring yourself and two friends to play doubles with Coach and receive instruction during your play. Class can be tailored to fit any needs or level. This class is a scheduled on demand offering. An email request is the appropriate way to learn available times and initiate this class.
These classes offer you an introduction to a technique. All specialty classes will include a demonstration of the technique, an explanation why the technique is used, application of a drill you can perform to build the technique, and 1 on 1 time with the coach.
Understand the how, why, and when to utilize a body shot. Learn what you can do to minimize being attacked by a body shot and what to do when it happens.
Simply the most important shot in Pickleball. We will discuss why a drop shot is advantageous and learn steps to performing a successful drop shot. Footwork, weight shift, and swing mechanics will be the focus.
We'll break the Non-Volley Zone down into 4 more zones and describe the thought process behind them. This class covers strategic benefits to understanding the different zones and how to use them to your benefit.
Explore a pre serve routine, learn different types of serves, discuss the most strategic return of serve. Focus is on strategy and technique behind the swing. We will cover what the best serve in Pickleball today is.
Discuss the when and how to lob. Explore the mechanics behind generating a successful lob. Footwork will be the main focus of the lob return and we will cover 2 common lob return shots.
Learn how to return a hard driven ball or drop shot using a punch volley to return the ball back deep to the opponent. This is one of the most common shots used to defend the Attack Line.
Playing frequently against bangers? Learn how and when to apply a soft block from the Attack Line to cause a hard hitting player to come forward and get involved in a softer game at the net.
Discuss how to address the 4th shot of the rally. Focus is on shot selection based on reading the 3rd ball. Strategy and safest location of shots will be addressed.
Build hand eye coordination in this high intensity drill based class. Volleys and resets at the Attack Line are the main focus. Expect an elevated heart rate and a good workout.
Learn what defines the Transition Zone and how to safely progress though it to the the Attack Line. Techniques will include resetting and brushing the ball during drills.
Discuss and apply where you should be on the court with your partner. Focus is on taking away the biggest shots from your opponents and footwork at the Attack Line.
This weekly 2 hour instructional series not only teaches you how to play Pickleball, but also provides you an all inclusive way to learn proper swing mechanics and proper techniques for any player beginner through a 3.5 level. You may have heard of or know what a specific shot or techniques is, but, do you fully understand it and know how to apply it? This 12 Week series provides an opportunity to learn or strengthen the core principals that make up Pickleball. Coach to student ratio is 1:4
Meet the Coaches. Paddles, shoes, rules, structure of this course, learning the specific classes available, and how and when to register for them. How to secure court rentals for practice and how to contact the coach will all be addressed.
Dinking is core to Pickleball. We help you understand the two basic shots that form Pickleball and how those shots apply to the Non-Volley Zone. We discuss how to implement a dink shot. Focus will be on creating proper swing mechanics for the greatest consistency. Drills will follow.
Learn how to serve properly and improve your serve and return mechanics. Understanding the sides of the court and how they relate to keeping the scoring will also be addressed. Drills will follow.
Explore what defines a drive shot. Learn about weight transfer and build some basic swing mechanics to perform a drive. Doubles play will follow to apply strategies.
Learn where you should be with your partner on the court. Applying the serve, return, and 3rd shot to the rally. Important footwork such as split steps and grounding yourself will be focused on. Doubles play will follow to apply strategies.
We help you to understand hitting zones 1-4 and what that knowledge brings to the table. Discuss why it is so important to develop your backhand and overhead swings. You'll learn what a ready position is and how to apply it. We will also discuss the footwork required at the Attack Line.
Learn and develop a punch volley; one of the most common ways to return hard driven balls from the Attack Line. Drills will follow.
Learn and understand when to and how to use the most important shot in Pickleball. Discuss how to gain or equalize an advantage using a drop shot. Understand what makes a drop shot good, ok, or bad. Focus will be on the mechanics of the shot including weight shift, trajectories, and advancement to the Attack Line. Drills will follow.
Learn when to attack and when not to attack. We will discuss the S.L.Y. principal and explore patience on the court in depth. The 68% principal will be addressed. Drills will follow.
What to look for before making an aggressive shot. How not to shot yourself or Your partner in the foot. How to avoid the hand battle. Don't be a sitting duck. Play will follow to implement tactics.
Generating a lob shot isn't easy and it's almost always dangerous to put the ball up in the air. We discuss the principal behind lobbing and touch on the how and where to execute the shot. Return of lob explained in 2 shots. Footwork is key and will be addressed heavily. Drills will follow.
Challenge the other members in a duel to show off what you've learned. Pizza and refreshments provided while we enjoy the final week and wrap up our series together.
Instructional series are meant to be taken in their entirety. Class is paid in full prior to first week.
